Active work in the new Yale gymnasium began Wednesday. The freshman classes commenced exercise in the morning, and yesterday the sophomore classes started in with their work. With the two upper classes the gymnasium work is optional, but nevertheless light and heavy work as well as classes in fencing, boxing, wrestling, and swimming are open to them.
