Neither side made anything in the seventh. In the eighth inning Princeton made one more run on errors by Phillips and Crocker. For Harvard, Phillips scored on a base hit, a steal and two passed balls. Princeton failed to improve their score in the ninth and so the game closed with the score 15 to 3 in Harvard's favor...
...Manhatten Athletic Grounds in New York were, on Saturday, alive with a large crowd of contestants and spectators, all interested in the ninth annual games of the I. G. A. A. Delegations of student spectators were present from several colleges, noticeably Columbia, Yale, Princeton and Leigh, while a small knot of Harvard man cheered on the contestants from Cambridge. The day in New York, as well as here, was warm, and although too much for some of the contestants took any chilliness out of the air and warmed up the men to their work as the records show...

Souther hit a grounder to Baker, who threw to Phillips to cut off Terry, but was too late. Souther stole second base but Booth and Stewart went out, leaving two men on bases. The score now stood 7 to 4 in Yale's favor, and the outlook for Harvard was dismal. But our nine was equal to the emergency. Nichols was given his base on balls and took second on Brigham's muff of Coolidge...

Baker went out on a pop fly to pitcher, leaving Winslow and Nichols on bases. With the score tied, Princeton went out in order in the ninth inning, and Harvard failed to score, although LeMoyne reached third base on Vanetten's wild throw and two steals...
