Bill Norris, B.C.'s distance man, poses a perennial threat that never seems to materialize. Norris has a fantastic kick and the Crimson's Jim Baker has none, so the mile run could be tight.
In the team standings, Tufts, undefeated going into the G.B.C. meet, finished fourth. B.U. placed a disappointing fifth. And Boston College was sixth, even though Bill Norris finished fifth for the Eagles in the individual standings.
Bill Norris of Boston College is a phenomenal miler, who, like Starkus, should feel comfortable with the shorter distance. Stan Koszubek of M.I.T. won the freshman title last year, whipping Hardin on the same course. Tufts has Bob Baldwin, another solid runner. Hardin should have his hands full.
