Following the goal, Harvard was on a five-on-four power play and set itself up in the Dartmouth zone. Moore fired in a shot from the right circle, which Boucher saved. Nowak was on the doorstep and hacked at the rebound, but Boucher made a second save. Nowak gathered the puck again and this time slid it across the crease to junior forward Tyler Kolarik, who smartly one-timed the puck by Boucher, giving Harvard a 2-0 lead...
...first, the Crimson was a man up and trying to set up in the Colgate zone. Junior forward Tim Pettit sent the puck around the boards to senior forward Brett Nowak. Nowak, covered tightly by the Red Raiders, didn’t even stop the puck, just lightly redirected it to Moore, who blasted a quick slapshot that Colgate goaltender Steve Silverthorn couldn’t corral...
Moore added another power play goal in the middle frame, aided again by the skillful passing of Pettit and Nowak. Harvard passed the puck around the perimeter of the Colgate end until Nowak directed a cross-ice pass towards Pettit at the blue line. Pettit stopped the puck and without hesitation fired it across the ice again, this time near the top of the crease where Moore knocked home the short-range shot...
...against Rensselaer was a promising debut for the Crimson’s reshuffled forward lines, which had remained mostly constant for much of the season. Harvard coach Mark Mazzoleni teamed Moore with sophomore Kenny Turano and freshman Charlie Johnson for the first time this year and paired senior Brett Nowak with juniors Dennis Packard and Tyler Kolarik, reuniting a line that had seen great success last year...
