There are numberless other inaccuracies in Mr. Reed's Profile, a few of which are the reference to Mr. Finley's white hair (which retains its usual youthful color), the diminished attendance in Humanities 2 (simply false), and the ungrammatical Latin attributed with great unlikelihood to a former student of Norden and Wilamowitz (I pass over the vulgar reply). These allegations need no refutation, but they do seem inappropriate in the year when Eliot House, as now a nationwide community, is celebrating Professor Finley's 25th anniversary as Master...

...Arnold complained that the Air Force was not getting the large share of credit it claimed, Marshall told him pretty sharply to pipe down. Nor was he the man to ease the jolt when it came to jumping talent over seniority, as when Lieut. Colonel Eisenhower was promoted over numberless brigadiers. He kept a "little Black Book" for duds, and stars would never fall on those listed therein...

Methodist Bishop Gerald Kennedy, who also opposed the amendment, says that some of his Los Angeles churches "had a harder time than usual meeting the budget" for the same reason. When Episcopal Father James Jones of Chicago, the director of diocesan charities, was jailed last June...

When armed men are in action in Viet Nam and the Dominican Republic and standing guard on numberless borders (Berlin, Korea, etc.), it would seem an odd time to argue that international law is replacing international force. But Charles S. Rhyne, former president of the American Bar Association, is just that optimistic. Proudly, he points to the "lawyer-to-lawyer" movement that he launched in 1963 with an Athens conference of 1,000 lawyers from 105 countries. Last year he opened the World Peace Through Law Center in Washington, D.C. Now he is planning the first "World...
