Precariously clinging to the neck of the dragon he has created, little Adolf Hitler saw the world more unified against Germany than at any time since 1918, and preparing to do something about it. It was time for Hitlerism to pull its horns in once more, and that Hand- some Adolf proceeded to do with superlative skill. In medieval Nuremberg, home of Die Meistersinger and Albrecht Durer, scene of the first public Nazi review, yet another huge Nazi fiesta was under way. Bands blew their lungs out, flags fluttered from every housefront, tens of thousands of Nazis tramped their...

Many early prints are to be found in the room. Four colored wood-cuts from the 1483 "Nuremberg Bible" are the oldest objects present. There is an impression in its second state of Rembrandt's etching "St. Peter and St. John at the Gate of the Temple". The seventeenth century French portrait engravers are represented by Edelinck and Pierre Drevet in their "Jean Andre" and "Andre Rercules" respectively. Prints from the studies of Hogarth, Barlom, and Oadry are also on display...

Harmonic drama in all of its trappings will be furnished in the playing of Wagner's prelude to "The Master-singers of Nuremberg". In this opus a march theme is ingeniously woven into the theme which suggests the love of Walther and Eva. The score holds many surprises and, in all, is intensely stimulating...
