...captain, who rows number 7, will be lost by graduation. It is likely that one of the members of this year's crew will be changed to number 7. To fill the vacancy will be P. Withington '09 and R.M. Ellis '09, of the University four-oar, as well as R.W. Cutler '11, L. Withington, Jr., and other members of the 1911 Freshman crew. ...comparison of the Harvard and Yale crews, however, does not result in favor of Yale. Physically the Harvard crew appears to be superior, and in experience there is little advantage on either side. The stroke-oars in both crews have never rowed in a four-mile race. Griswold of Yale stroked the Yale winning four-oar last year, while Sargent, the Harvard stroke, rowed two on the Freshman crew. M.A. King '10 will coxswain the crew...

...eight paddled up-stream over the upper two miles of the course in very good time. They covered the distance in 10 minutes and 5 seconds, but were favored by both wind and tide. The boat went well and the men rowed together in clean form. The 1911 four-oar rowed a half-mile up-stream just before the Freshman eight in good time. This crew has developed the ability to travel well with a fast stroke, with but little washing out or splashing...
