Notwithstanding Shugrue's unlucky disability in the first round, it was obvious Moran had not met his match. The latter's improvement since his illness a year ago is little short of startling. With the possible exception of Lew Tendler in 1922, he is the most logical contender in several years for the throne of Lightweight Champion Benny Leonard.
