...Haven, Conn., Oct. 12.--Yale defeated the Springfield Training School eleven on Yale Field this afternoon by the score of 6 to 0, in a hard game marred by much fumbling and numerous penalties. On the offense, Yale was strong; her defense, however, was unable to withstand Springfield's heavy line and strong attack, and allowed the visiting team to make first down five times.
