Coach Howe was well pleased with the result, and especially with the excellent showing of Amory at stroke. He is very optimistic concerning prospects for the season. What criticism he had to offer was mainly concerned with minor defects in the body swing of some men. After the brush he drilled the crews in getting the final drive with the legs at the end of their stroke which aids so greatly in carrying the shell forward between strokes.
