This morning Dr. Washington Gladden of Columbus, Ohio, begins his term of service at Appleton Chapel. Those who attended the chapel exercises last year when he was with us will remember with the greatest pleasure the simple, earnest manner in which he speaks.- Dr. Gladden is not a great orator, but he has qualities which fit him for personal influence over the students.
