Cornell started the game with their flying wedge, but gained little, as Curtis dropped the ball and Lewis fell on it. Short rushes brought the ball down to Cornell's 15 yard line, where Brewer lost it on a fumble. Ohl kicked for Cornell and Brewer caught it and was downed on the 40 yard line. A few moments later, however, he dashed through the right end of Cornell's line for a touchdown from which Fairchild kicked the goal. Score, Harvard 6, Cornell 0, after 7 minutes play...
...after this touchdown that Cornell showed her strongest play of the game and Curtis was barely saved from making a touchdown by Brewer's pretty tackle. Cornell tried in vain to buck the line and Ohl kicked. Brewer muffed the ball but dropped on it, and the play was soon in Cornell's territory. A safety and three more touchdowns, the last of which was the result of two brilliant runs by Brewer, left the score at the end of the first half...
