Yesterday afternoon the 'Varsity ball nine devoted most of the daily practice to batting. After practicing at the nets for a short while they went down to the diamond and, with the College nine in the field and Dowd, the old Georgetown pitcher, pitching for them, the nine indulged in a regular game with the exception that they did not take the field when three outs had been made.
