For the rest of the period, the Crimson defense, helped by the stellar goaltending of sophomore Oliver Jonas, kept the Golden Knights scoreless. The Crimson's penalty killing unit looked especially sharp, neutralizing a potentially dangerous 4-on-3 Golden Knights advantage late in the period.

Clarkson dominated after a second goal at 12:22, raining shots on sophomore goalkeeper Oliver Jonas. It appeared that like three other 1-0 ECAC leads Harvard has had this year, the opposition would answer back with a deluge of goals.

Harvard coach Ronn Tomassoni has given sophomore backup goaltender Oliver Jonas the assignment of stoning the Golden Knight offense. Jonas played very well in Harvard's win at B.U. and tie against Brown. Junior starter J.R. Prestifilippo has a 5.08 goals-against average.
