...candidates for the Mott Haven team at Yale went into training yesterday, and, as in the last two years, are to be under the charge of Murphy, who is one of the best professional trainers in the country. The track has been thoroughly rolled and made hard enough for use so that nothing can hinder the men from beginning active outdoor training at once. Many improvements have been made since last year in the field and apartments of the team, among the most important of which may be mentioned the shower baths...

...training table has not yet been decided upon but one will be formed soon, as some of the sure men of the team will go to the table by April 8th. Among the men are Sherrill and Shearman, both '89, and Robinson, Bayard and Harmar, all of '90. These men will remain in New Haven and continue their training during the recess.
