Shot 15 months ago, mostly in and around the Apple recording studios, the film concentrates heavily on Paul McCartney, so much so that the billing might be changed to "Let It Be, starring Paul McCartney and some other Beatles." There are flashes of John dancing with his wife Yoko Ono, and George and Ringo picking out Octopus Garden on guitar and piano, but most of the good footage belongs to Paul. ...extension of the vin-and-yang imagery is easily made to the cover of Yoko Ono's Grapefruit published this winter. It is a sunny book, almost square in format, though a little wider than long (a la Peanuts). The jacket is chiefly a bright yellow, though at its base is black lettering which claims that the "works and drawings [are] by Yoko Ono," and that the "introduction [is] by John Lennon." John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono were among the most densely forested. This month a hairdresser was secretly called in to shear them. John kept his beard but emerged looking like an earnest young seminary student. Yoke's locks were cropped in the old Mia Farrow style.
