Since the crew has been on the river the greater part of the coaching has been on the outboard work, but during the past two weeks more attention has been given to inboard work. The result has been that the crew looks much better in the shell than it did a month...

...swinging on with the shoulders instead of raising the hands at the full reach. This brings the power at the beginning of the stroke instead of when the legs go on. They also rush their slides and the last part of the recover. Time inboard is fairly good, but outboard it is rather ragged. The crew will probably go on the river some time next week...
