When the Equitable Building on lower Broadway was finished, New Yorkers felt that the climax of big buildings had been reached. But now the Parlex Holding Corporation proposes to outdo it with a mammoth structure at Fourth Avenue and 33rd Street. An entire block, 425 x 197 feet, will be occupied, the new structure when finished will contain 1,458,170 square feet of rental area-about a quarter of a million more than the Equitable Building-and will have 31 stories.
