With the more advanced instruction of the past week, and the general improvement in the work of the squad, the outlook for the opening of the season is not discouraging. Although the squad is better graded for the time of the year than in previous seasons, owing to the earlier commencement of work, nevertheless the outlook is not especially encouraging. With the first game of the season only a little over three weeks away the work so far has been very elementary. No man is yet sure of a position, and until the outdoor practice begins, which is further delayed by the present condition of the weather, no real team play can be developed.
