Crimson center Bob Cleary survived a disastrous second stanza to lead the varsity scoring with three goals. After the first period onslaught, Dartmouth began successfully to double team Cleary much to the delight of the overflow partisan crowd. The strategy, however, broke down in the final stanza, when Cleary broke loose and scored two goals in 33 seconds.
