The MIT scrimmage marked an unofficial end to an 18 game losing streak carried over from last year when the team was coached by Bill Barclay.
Twelve professional newspapermen, who each won a year at Harvard by way of the University's Nieman Fellowships, settled comfortably back into overstuffed armchairs in their Holyoke House headquarters this week and declared themselves "very happy" over the results so far of the holiday here.

Dean William C. DeVane of Yale College said last night the trio had been suspended over the weekend and the two who live near New Haven sent home. He sent letters to the students' parents explaining the action, which goes on their records, he said.
Police questioned them until 3:30 p.m. and told them "to get back to New Haven tonight." Telephone calls between the Yale deane and Arthur R. Hordon, Jr. '39, assistant dean of the College, settled their fate. The three were given notice of their suspension over the weekend.
