Yesterday the University eight was given a time row over the regular course, the last mile being a race with the first Freshman crew. Filley started the boat with an easy stroke of 28 to the minute, and held this pace until the boat came even with the Freshmen, who were waiting above Harvard bridge. Here the University eight took ten strokes at 32, but the Freshman crew rowing a point or two higher held its own.
