The teams were composed of four men, each running a full mile, winner counting one point, second, two, third, three, etc., the team getting the least number of points being declared the winner. Grant of Harvard set the pace for the first half mile, doing it in 2m. 35s. and at the three-quarter mark was neck and neck with Orton. ...bicycle squad rode out doors yesterday for the first time. About 10 men came out and under Captain Woods's leadership took a ten mile ride around Jamaica Pond and through the new parkway. The pace was slow and the trip took a little over an hour. It is hoped that more men will be on hand for the next ride...
