Graduation hit the Bulldogs hard, as they lost five studs from last season's All-League squad. Mike Sullivan and Rick Angelone will do their best to fill Pagliaro's cleats, and once Yale finds a quarterback, Bob Krystiniak and All-Ivy end John Spagnola will be welcomed targets. Offensive line is a monstrous question mark, but the freshman team was undefeated last season, so there goes that weakness...

...most obvious omission from this year's draft list, however, was, I am sad to say, a Yalie. Apparently the scouts thought John Pagliaro was too slow or too small or maybe they just don't like Italian running backs. But whoever said he isn't fast enough never tried to catch him as he turned it up around the corner, and whoever said he wasn't big enough never tried to tackle him as he lowered the shoulder. And, well, he still is Italian, but so is Franco Harris...

...shift my bad mood about 110 miles south of Cambridge, it seems that John Pagliaro will not be playing in this year's East-West Shrine game. For some reason, the guys who wear the funny hats and build all the hospitals think that only two people per year from the Ivy League should be allowed to play in their classic. Dartmouth's outstanding defensive lineman Greg Robinson and Curry are this year's due. Where does this leave Pagliaro? I'll tell you where, home in Derby watching Celebrity Bowling after being one of the premier backs...
