...most of her roles since, she's been the strong, idealized sister or daughter: Daniel Radcliffe's "best beloved sister" in the TV drama My Son Jack; one of a pair of innocent cousins at the heart of an endless lawsuit in the BBC'S 2006 Bleak House; the rebellious daughter of a working-class Prime Minister in another BBC series, The Amazing Mrs Pritchard; and the landowner's daughter who's desperate to be an actress in the Royal Court production of The Seagull that went to Broadway last year and earned her a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding...
There are two pairs of twins in your book. Is there a reason that twins, in pop culture at least, are inherently creepy? Other than the Weasley boys in the Harry Potter series, you never really see twins portrayed in a happy way. I suppose one source of unease is this notion that you're not as unique as you think you are. And identical twins, of course, personify that. We don't like that. Her Fearful Symmetry, Niffenegger's follow-up to her time-hopping best seller, is a Victorian ghost story set in the present that's more in tune with her creepy "visual novels" The Adventuress and The Three Incestuous Sisters. Niffenegger talked to TIME about her favorite gardens of the dead, creepy twins and the subject of her next book...

Sales at the Colorado-based company climbed from a meager $24,000 in 2002 to more than $847 million in 2007. When Crocs went public in February 2006, it raised...
...successful as the 15-year-old program has been, supporters say it needs to enlarge its talent pool in order to attract the waves of younger troops returning from hot spots such as Iraq and Afghanistan and making the not-always-easy transition to civilian life. A pair of House members, Connecticut Democrat Joe Courtney and Wisconsin Republican Tom Petri, are getting ready to introduce legislation that would greatly expand the program by opening its doors to tens of thousands of veterans of all ages.
