Their observation that football paraphernalia gives offence to refined ladies is unique in its isolation. I presume to say there are few if any ladies, outside of the Corporation, who would absent themselves from the exercises on this account; and surely the display of femininity there in the past is evidence, perhaps overlooked by an introspective committee.
