Replay's LeMasters will also be helpful in negotiating peace with the networks, which are unsure whether to love the new technology or hate it. A number of media companies and TV networks have invested in TiVo and/or Replay. But many of the same players (including Time Warner, parent company of TIME) also formed the Advanced Television Copyright Coalition, which has threatened to sue the companies in the future for nonpayment of copyright license fees. No one, of course, is making such noises anymore about VCRs, which also record copyrighted material...

...here that it is a nightmare to explain, and even harder to explain away. The film is crossbred from many pieces. Sometimes it feels like a edgy suburban television drama like "My So-Called Life," about the trials of being a teenager and the equal trials of being a parent. Sometimes it seems to be an adult indie flick, in which bizarre actions have a way of seeming less strange when you look at them up close. Sometimes it's just a pitch-black comedy about the mean things people say to each other when they don't care...

...wherever it is shown; the painting uses children?s handprints to depict infamous child murderer Myra Hindley. With headliners like these, it?s not surprising that the museum has slapped an "R" rating on the exhibit, and no one under the age of 16 will be admitted without a parent. Of course, most parents will probably stand, flabbergasted, as their children blithely flit through the exhibit, listening to Eminem on their headphones...
