Alex Rodriguez needs to step up his game. He may be the current Major League Baseball home run leader, but he is lagging behind the Crimson’s own freshman softball star Lauren Murphy in balls knocked out of the park. The score entering yesterday: Murphy, 13 homers, A-Rod, 12.Murphy’s baker’s dozen would be good enough to lead the MLB, and it is certainly sufficient to be the best in the Ivy League, as she has accumulated three more home runs than the next in line, Penn’s Annie...
...from these inspired sources; and so, on the evidence, did Wright and Pegg. Shaun of the Dead was shot at Ealing, and takes its skewed vision of English community from the films made their more than a half-century before. Hot Fuzz has much the quirky vibe of Nick Park's stop-motion animated comedies of rural English life. Only this has so much stomach-knotting violence, it's more like Wallace and Vomit...

But movie violence, as anyone who's seen Saw and its quillion imitators, is not unique to Asia. And if you want to argue that this violent film provoked this disturbed young man to commit this atrocity, you should be prepared to explain why all those who saw Oldboy, and The Matrix, and Saw, didn...
...Mexico police got more than they bargained for last fall when they responded to a call about a domestic dispute in a trailer park near Los Alamos National Laboratory. Not only had they stumbled on paraphernalia for making the drug crystal meth; they also found thousands of pages of highly classified documents detailing the designs of U.S. nuclear weapons...
