...Yale freshmen have been trying to arrange a game with the freshman nine at Princeton for some time. Partial arrangements had been made by the Yale nine to take a short trip for the purpose of playing several teams, including Princeton. Plans had been made for a game with Princeton on May 29 and one at Potstown on the 30, but the Harvard game coming so near those dates, has prevented the trip from being taken. ...home team played remarkably well in the field. The out fielders were slow in fielding the ball in, but the work of the infield was good. Much of the credit of winning the game belongs to Downer, who struck out fourteen men. At times he seemed to lose partial control of the ball, but he was finely supported by Henshaw throughout the whole game. The batting of the team was weak.
