Students who entered Harvard College with the Class of 1914, 1915, or 1916 must pass, before they can be admitted to the Junior Class, a special oral examination to test their reading knowledge of either French or German. Any member of these classes who has not already passed his oral examination and wishes to pass it before the final examination period, must notify the Recorder, 4 University Hall, in writing, before Thursday, May 15. ...first place, an attempt has been made to foster the study of Greek by requiring one less examination if the candidate offers both elementary Greek and Latin. A change has been made in the nomenclature of the examination system: instead of requiring 26 "points" for admission the candidate must pass in studies amounting to 16 1-2 "units" of school work, a unit amounting approximately to one-fourth year of school work.
