Shortly after the opening of the second period the substitutes were sent in for all positions except Captain Claflin's, and they showed up very well, Baker, in particular, playing an unusually strong game. He scored on a pass from Phillips after 8 minutes, 41 seconds, followed later by a goal by Curtis from the wing. A minute later Rochester snapped the puck past Harte after a face-off near the goal for Williams's single score. Baker, after cleverly dodging the Williams defence, brought the last tally for the University...

...football rules committee, in its annual session at New York Saturday, made no radical changes in the playing code. The chief alteration is the elimination of the forward pass out of bounds. Under the new ruling, brought forward by Coach Haughton of the University team, any forward pass which goes out of bounds shall be considered an incompleted pass, whether it strikes a player or not, and if it occurs on the fourth down the ball shall go to the opponents at the last line of scrimmage...

...members of Princeton University are required to pass a stipulated test in swimming before they are eligible to receive diplomas. This rule was put into effect with the class entering in 1911 and so will apply to the present senior class at Princeton. The test requires every man to swim 200 yards using the back stroke and one other recognized stroke. It was found that about 60 men in each class were unable to swim at all and about 100 were poor swimmers and from this it was thought expedient to introduce some rule to overcome this.
