Captain Slocum has recovered again, and resumed his place as Captain of the freshman eleven. We trust that the purpose expressed in his notice yesterday will be pursued to the letter. Ninety has better material for an eleven than any class which has entered during the past five years. For the first week the candidates for the team played well. Then the new uniforms dazzled some and discouraged others so that in the match between the freshmen and the second class, the latter proved easy victors.
