Your story on epigenetics was interesting and even encouraging. I imagine many existing and prospective parents may be remorsefully contemplating their lifestyles before they faced the sobering business of parenthood. I know I would. And I wouldn't consider having children based on my past lifestyles and your article. All the same, society and science sometimes seem to fall into dangerous cycles. And that's exactly what's happened over the past few days as Israeli and Syrian ministers have traded threats, with hard-line Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Thursday threatening to topple the Assad regime. "When there is another war, you will not just lose it, but you and your family will lose power," said Lieberman.
