Usage:

Commencing with a description of the dangerous conditions under which the men of the Life Saving Service work, Mr. Peck gave views of the Cape Cod, Florida and California coasts. He described minutely the great storm of Thanksgiving. 1898, in which the steamer "Portland" was lost with all on board. The lecturer then passed to the actual work of the service, which in thirty years has saved $166,000,000 and 102,000 lives.
