Kudos to Kate Mark Harris' agreeable article on Kate Winslet ignores one of her defining cinematic achievements: her first film, Peter Jackson's classic New Zealand epic Heavenly Creatures [March 2]. The strength of this performance, and the manner in which she brought to life the notorious Christchurch schoolgirl Juliet Hulme, was deeply striking. One can only gape in awe at the growth in ability she has shown from such an auspicious beginning. Victor Ochoa, Danville...

Peter has honed the wrong skills; in this movie he doesn't have to get the girl; he already has her. He has to become a supporter of Guy Marriage...

...Peter’s always been a girlfriend guy. He put all his focus and energy into relationships, and all his dude friends just fell by the wayside.” With a wedding date fast approaching and a severe dearth of male acquaintances, California realtor Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) arranges a series of uncomfortable “man-dates” in order to find a Best Man and flesh out his half of the wedding party. Rudd has mastered the task of playing the haplessly endearing male lead, and his struggle to be one of the boys...
