John Davison Rockefeller Sr., 96, was taking his longest automobile ride of the season along Florida's Daytona Beach last fortnight when he spied one Al Garb, a beach photographer who took his picture six years ago. Ordering his big maroon limousine to stop, Oldster Rockefeller peered out, asked Al Garb how much money he had made from the photograph. Al Garb chirped a figure. Again, on p. 38 TIME says, "Across two columns on the main news page of its Sunday edition that most stiff-necked of the world's newspapers, The London Times, spread the photograph of Jon Lindbergh." ...Treasury statement in which "lawful money" erroneously appeared as "awful money." Another typical Shively item appearing last December: "The latest issue (July) of the illustrated monthly magazine, U. S. S. R. in Construction, to reach this country has a bit of Tartar humor in the caption to a photograph. It reads: 'General View of the Proletarian Section, Moscow.'
