...done duty so often in Cambridge, "Ave Maria," "Comrades in Arms," etc., and two or three new songs were sung which are to be brought out at the next concert at Lyceum Hall. Mr. Szemelenyi's tenor solo "Spirito Gentil" was encored, and the performers are confident that the piano duet would have been also, if the piano had had a little more "grand" about it. The "college songs" (?) with which the concert concluded were better done than usual, and made the customary hit. Some merriment was excited by the well-meant but futile attempts of one gentleman to remember...

...Maria" and "Fair Rohtraut" of the Glee Club were rewarded by encores, in compliance with which they gave the "May Night" after the former, and repeated part of the latter. The solos for piano and' cello were exceedingly well rendered, and Handel's sonata for piano and flute was given so admirably as to afford new cause for' regret that Mr. Richardson leaves the Pierians this year. Cheever Goodwin's burlesque, "Evangeline," to be produced in a few weeks. It is a bold, spirited composition, and extremely effective as arranged either for the piano-forte or a full orchestra. It has been played at some of the theatres for the past fortnight with great success. The air of the trio is very sweet and pleasing, and the combinations in harmony throughout, many of them novel and ingenious, give the piece a very different character...
