Eight judges have been chosen for the three prize competitions announced this fall by the Advocate and it is expected that a ninth will be obtained soon in order to make three for each division. Last year Dean Briggs '75, Arthur Stanwood Pier '95, William Roscoe Thayer '81 and Irving Babbitt '89 were among the prominent men who assisted in judging the competitions. ...original date of December 1, the Advocate prize story competition will now last until January 3, as the January number of the Advocate is to be issued before Christmas. All stories handed in before January 3 will be taken into consideration by the judges, who are Arthur Stanwood Pier '95, Richard Washburn Child '03, and Holworthy Hall '09. The prize of $25 will be awarded to the best story, which will be published in the February number of the Advocate, as will the next two best. The Advocate Board suggests that competitions do their writing during the holidays...
