Bishop Block, who will be succeeded by his coadjutor, James Albert Pike, formerly dean of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in Manhattan, collapsed at an ordination ceremony in Grace Cathedral, murmured to his assistant, "Bishop, will you continue?", died in the sacristy moments later...
