Maine gave the University little trouble in stopping its plays. Not once, strange to say, reverting to forward passes or open plays of any variety, the Pine Tree Staters seemed content to plug away at a stone-wall line or to essay futile swings around the end that usually were broken up before they reached the line of scrimmage.
