Glacier-carved granite peaks rise above the timberline marked by noble stands of ponderosa, Jeffrey and sugar pine; Eureka and Madora lakes sparkle in the summer sun, which even in August has not melted the mountain snows. Jamison Creek, running fast and clear through the park, is alive with half-pound rainbow and brook trout.
