("Dutch") Leonard,* 60, southpaw pitcher who fireballed his way to fame in the American League (1913-25), later made a fortune as a California grape-grower; of a cerebral hemorrhage; in Fresno. In 1914, on the pitching staff of the Boston Red Sox (which also included Babe Ruth), he had his best season, winning 19 games and losing five, for an average of 1.01earned runs a game. After helping Boston to world championships in 1915 and 1916, he quit baseball in 1925, retired to his Fresno ranch, where he could sit in any room...
