...planet to be named was recently discovered by Professor Joel H. Metcalf, of Winchester, and presented to the Allied Bazaar, which opened Saturday in the Grand Central Palace, New York. The college contributing the greatest number of votes will give the asteroid its name. The committee in charge consists of Professor Henry Norris Russell, director of the Princeton Observatory, and Hamilton Fish Strong. Working in conjunction with them are the various college newspapers, which are running branch contests to decide whether the name of the new planet will be Harvardiana, Yalensis, Tiga, Columbiana, Cornellia, or Pennsylvania.
