...brands and dropped popreferences. Drew and crew can be incredibly slimy,but never see-through. At times the novel seemssuperficial, but Burning Girl is no bore. If thedialogue is sometimes a bit stilted, it's becauseit's too damn slick. Do we care if this ismasterful irony or just plastic writing? NO! We'llsnort at Drew's tacky overtures and Bahar'sspitfire tactics and file it all under "Dirt."Then we'll move on to the good stuff...

...these dry cleaners to a group of friends, and some-one's bound to reveal a horror story of a crushed tuxedo shirt or lost black pants. Moreover, when they do come back, it's a mystery whether or not they were actually cleaned or just placed in the plastic bag on a cheap hanger. Who knew of these problems back at home...

There is nothing fundamentally wrong with Assassin as a game, and at least in Dunster there were rules restricting the games to Dunster after dark and requiring the use of bright neon colored plastic dart pistols which no one could mistake for the real guns. As for Leach's experience playing Assassin, I can only say that any game you play that you take too seriously ceases...
