...beginning there was Playboy, then came raunchy Penthouse, and now, for the man who is ready to settle down, there's One Woman, a quarterly that will faithfully-and exhaustively-show a single dream girl. The sexy subject of One Woman's 96-page premier issue, to be on newsstands for $3.50 next week, is Morgan Fairchild, 33, best known as the bitchy bombshell on TV's Flamingo Road. Six photographers portray Fairchild in relatively modest poses and attire. In a variety of interviews, Fairchild is only slightly more revealing, disclosing that she likes older...
...after about 20 minutes, one is hard-pressed to care. Although Plarr goes through the proper noble motions--tending sick peasant children, standing up to the police chief after the hospital is raided and displaying proper filial devotion to his absent father--he nevertheless comes off as a filial playboy. When the police commissioner questions Parr about a "crime of passion," he responds, "Passion? I'm English." Try maladjusted...
...days to pump much iron. The U.C.L.A. anthropology graduate, who can dead-lift 225 lbs., has written and appeared in two pictorial bestsellers (Lady; Lisa Lyon's Body Magic) that feature muscle-bulging poses she calls "body sculpture." Now she has left her duties as hostess of a Playboy Network talk show to develop a fashion-modeling career. The 5-ft. 3½-in., 105-lb. unscrawny mannequin currently appears on six pages of the German edition of Vogue; her physique may soon grace rag-trade magazines in Italy and Japan. Lyon will appear before the fashion crowd...

Ribald Classics presents softcore, soft-minded dramatizations of often less than classic tales in a visual style somewhat reminiscent of gauzy old Clairol commercials. Playboy on the Scene brings the monthly centerfolds to life, though not intelligent life, in filmed segments showing their phantasmagoric photo sessions (as Miss December dutifully undrapes for the 9th time, she purrs: "I'm a very touchy-feely person"). The two smirky anchors of Sexcetera...
Filling the endless hours of their schedules without too much duplication is an expensive proposition for both channels. Paul Klein, the outspoken former NBC executive who heads the Playboy Channel, estimates that he needs at least 100 films annually to satisfy his audience. In the next year, 36 of those will be made-for-Playboy movies, with budgets of up to $1 million each and titles like Black Venus. The Disney Channel will spend at least $100 million on new programming during its first lg three years. President James Jimirro, a ten-year Disney veteran, has nearly 20 shows...
