...disappointment which may not be lightly borne to learn of Captain Morgan's inability to play against Yale. It is essentially true that Harvard teams have never been one-man teams, and the loss of one player may not break the morale of the whole. Yet the loss to any team however strong of a player so remarkable is a serious impairment of its strength. On the game Saturday depends the victorious conclusion of the whole season of play. The team cannot well afford to present against Yale's fast and aggressive team anything less than its full power...

...team is fortunate in having three members of the last year's infield in College. Little need be said of the ability of Captain G. E. Abbot '17 as a player and a leader, and he forms, with J. T. Beal '17 and H. S. Bothfeld '17, the foundation of a fast and heady infield. The latter two men, however, will be forced to work hard to retain their old positions, as J. H. Enwright '19 is now in good standing with the Office, and will make a great bid for an infield position as he is a heavy hitter...

The race for positions in the outfield will be close, as there are a number of good men from whom to choose

...addition to the University matches the second team and Freshman trials and the spring tournaments offer an opportunity for every player in the College to try his hand. The Freshman team is already booked for nine matches and the second team for eight. The second team will occupy a far more important position this year than formerly as it will have a manager, captain and complete schedule of its own. During the early part of May a tournament will be held for the doubles and singles championship of the College, open to all members of the three upper classes...

...second-string wings are W. O. Morgan '18 and R. Kissel '19, last year's Freshman captain. Morgan has already won his "H" and is a fast and very aggressive player, though his light weight makes his work harder. W. W. Rice '18 is another aggressive left wing man, and is also a very good shot. Kissel played right centre on the 1919 seven, and does not handle himself quite as well in the wing position as he did at centre. He generally covers his man well, but has a tendency to lag behind the line slightly, and his passes...
