...renovations that took place this summer were major: The floors were refinished and the walls were painted a pleasant dove gray with crimson awnings; the faded black seats were replaced by very comfortable dark turquoise ones; the aisles were made more accessible for wheel chairs and the space was organized more efficiently; the old mono sound system was enhanced by a sub-woofer; the carpets, screen and aisle lights were replaced, and the lobby was spruced up. ...infuses “I Am Free,” “The First Time” and the show’s other standards with energy and life. Gillette’s “Only Love,” though barely sung, is delicate and pleasant. As for the supporting players, Glory Crampton and Natalie Toro add terrific vocal presence as the Widow and the Leader, respectively; Franc D’Ambrosio is likeable as Nikos, but one wonders if his transformation at the hands of Zorba need be so obvious...

...first-years, but in light of the infrequent contact between prefects and their first-years, it cannot provide the same level of advising as an R.A. system. Study breaks once a week do not give first-years an opportunity to have meaningful interaction with upperclass students. Occasional outings are pleasant, but are too rare to foster a true sense of kinship. Most first-years think of their prefects as nice people, but they are unlikely to search them out to talk about anything substantive...
