Manhattan Psychoanalyst Natalie Shainess adds that bisexuality and homosexuality are symptoms of "developmental damages" during childhood. A homosexual, she notes, grows up distrusting the opposite sex; a bisexual is in a sense in a worse plight because he distrusts both sexes.
