Most of the attacks by Arab terrorists on jetliners or airports, however savage and irrational, have been interpreted as demonstrations of anger and frustration by Palestinian refugees who were trying to draw attention to the plight of their people. But the massacre at Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Airport two weeks ago, as well as other recent hijackings, seemed to have a special motivation.
