This is the third year that the song competitions have been held on the nom de plume system and the fourth year since the competitions have been open to all men in the University. At least six songs have been selected for first trial by the Committees of former years. At the second mass meetings the number was reduced on a survival of the fittest basis. At the final mass meetings the two best songs were practiced and both used at the Yale game. The song most successfully used at the Yale game won the competition...
